Into Thin Air
MARC OLLER
What happens when we don’t have a proper closure? Into Thin Air follows a day in the life of Momo, a young Japanese woman living in Tokyo, as she relives key moments of her past in search for answers after her boyfriend of one year disappears for no apparent reason, only leaving a haunting trace behind him. Throughout this day, Momo wants to put an end to the situation, hoping she can meet the young man one last time and have a proper closure.
Ghosting is a very common practice in Japan, and it’s becoming even more so for younger generations all over the world. This short film intends to put the viewer in the shoes of a person who´s being ghosted and make the audience sympathize with that feeling of being drifting in the dark sea of unsolved matters.
